For those amongst us who have foresworn the evil that is alcohol for the month of January, the end is in sight! The rest of you can look on in amazement at the self discipline involved... and wonder at the foolishness of your friends who choose to inflict this on themselves every year...
Golf beckons at the weekend: no competitions planned, but it is the opening weekend of the Nations Cup, so the Old Course will be blocked off for a shotgun start on Saturday morning.
