This weekend sees the Open Championships return to Royal St George's in Kent, the course allegedly being the inspiration for the classic Goldfinger/James Bond match that ended up being filmed at Stoke Park. Should be a corker, with hopes riding very high (as ever!) for a home winner...
Hard on the heels of that, there is the Senior Open Championship at Walton Heath: this is highly relevant for us as one of the Qualifiers for this is being played at Burhill on Monday next week and the New Course will be closed from midday on Sunday to allow for preparation/practice.
All of which means that Saturday is probably the best day to play...
