Normal Service is Resumed

Now that the summer vacations are all over, everyone back at work, kids in school etc., we shall revert to weekly Blog posts to ensure that all manage to optimise their golfing plans... there are after all fewer than 250 days until JLC2012!

This weekend sees two events at the Club: on the Saturday, there is the Members' Invitation Day, which will absorb the Old Course in the morning. The Sunday it is more complicated both the Club Championship (18 holes scratch on each course) and the Senior Championship (18 holes on Old from 11:00) occupying a fair proportion of fairway space.

As ever, all plans to be made here...

  1. Arriving back in Cobham last night it is nice to see that everything (including this blog)is as good as it always was.
Is there any news on where we may be going for the next JLC?
As to the next weekend I have in the meantime been asked (and accepted) to play in the Members' Invitation Day on Sat and will be playing in the Senior Campionship on Sun (isn't that the one that Martin won last year?!)
    Regards,
    Rolf

  2. Rolf , welcome back!

Adrian knows but keeping it very quite!

How can you be asked to play in the Invitation day when you are a member and supposed to invite a guest?

    Playing Sunday Seniors as well

  3. 1) In the Invitations Day I am playing on the "Invitors' Side" in the mixed event...
    2) It looks like I am not playing in the Seniors after all since I was not included in the restricted list, so I am happy to play with the buddies on Sunday, if you still take me...

  4. Hi Rolf

I have no plans this weekend, yet, but can play Sunday as long as it's an early start. I have to be somewhere in Woking for lunch by 3.00pm, so if we could tee off early (8.30is), then you've got a date.

Nigel: "Test Firefox" ....is that a question or a command? Either way I use Firefox by default and in my opinion it is the best browser (although Chrome is a close second!)

  11. Hi Roland - that could mean we have 5 as I think Stu is now playing in place of Nigel. Does Dom want another game, or have you anyone else in mind? Remember, on competition days, two balls are not permitted!!
