The date of tomorrow will be 11-11-11, which according to old Chinese wisdom is a day of fortune. If you add your age this year to the last two digits of your birth date, you will always get the number 111 (this only happens all 1,646 years).
I spare you the chainmail, which promised incredible wealth to those who send it on to 33 (11+11+11) friends. (Mainly because I do not have 33 friends and then the e-mail was in Spanish anyway).
...er, looked at from a slightly different perspective, if I take my age from the current year, don't I always arrive at the year of my birth? Admittedly, it's not always 111,next year it will be 112.
ReplyDeleteGolf on Sunday anyone?
1) I think it only works this year, e.g. 58 (from 1958) plus your age 53 = 111; same for 57 + 54 etc.
ReplyDelete2) As regards golf Roland and I are playing in different flights in the Stableford. I believe that it is "Last Chance Saloon" for Roland, if he wants to avoid the Naughty Step.
3) Sorry for the typo in the heading. It's probably "Maths" rather than "Math"?! (Don't know, how to correct that.)
Hi Colin and Roland,
ReplyDeleteI checked with Burhill again today, and taking advantage of some vacancies which have popped up in the Stableford this Sunday, I have booked the three of us into a slot at 11.56 a.m.
I hope this is ok with you.
Regards,
Rolf
Hi Rolf
ReplyDeleteThat's absolutely fine with me. I shall look forward to seeing you both on Sunday.
Cheers
