Adrian - we are all feeling starved of pre_JLC banter... we need Our
Great Organizer to be stoking the flames of excitement as we head to
this year's competition...
There must be questions to be addressed, menus to be chosen, handicaps to be debated, non-golfing alternatives to be discussed.....
And for those of you interested in look at the weather, the Irish Met Office's 5day forecast can be found at http://www.met.ie/forecasts/5day-ireland.asp ... so make sure that your Galvin Greens are clean!
BTW - have just been reading up on the European... hole 12 apparently has a green which has a depth of 127 yards!

ReplyDeleteWell, Roland has magnaminously volunteered to play off 24. Very dangerous at that level, IMO. I also hear he is investing in yet more clubs. but don't tell him I said so.
ReplyDeleteI agree. And I shan't!

A little booster for my friends:
ReplyDeleteI was told that the standard scratch was 72 for the competition on Sunday. Having played 68 in the medal there is a chance that my handicap will now be on 18 (tbc!). I am sure you will be excited to hear that... Look upon it as yet another generous gift (after last year's pre JLC-Belgium handicap reduction).
Many congrats Rolf - you did well playing early as I am sure that you got the best of the conditions! Am waiting for HDID to confirm outcome...
ReplyDeleteLest I forget: I'll have my pre-first-round burger with a coke. Thanks Adrian!
ReplyDeleteRolf only beer for you.............. 18 sounds good!,,,,
ReplyDeletenigel .........where's 24 from? That was only for last weekend!!!
Practising with Guiness now!
In the unlikely event that this rain dries up, am playing Mixed golf on Sat and Lewis Kent Foursomes on Sunday so not available.
ReplyDeleteWe still up for meeting tomorrow night?
