Weekend golf - 24/25th October

For those history buffs amongst us, the history of Dr. Frank
Stableford can be found here...

... all of which is relevant in the context of the fact that there is the first of the winter season's Stableford competitions at the Club this Saturday. When I looked this morning, there were still plenty of place available.

You should also be aware that, Winter Rules will come into effect on the 1st November - i.e. after this weekend.

  1. What an excellent fellow and what marvellous system it is. It is a comfort to know I can go out on a Sat morning, shoot a 9 on one hole (and probably will) and still have a chance of a good score.

I'm up for the comp and am already looking forward to it!

  2. Anyone heading up to the club this w/e - if so can they stick me down? Determined to get up to about 20.5 before JLCC2010!

  3. Colin - welcome back to the Blog! All technical problems resolved?

Nigel - am afraid I cannot help, but a call to the club or an email to the proshop should do the trick.

FYI - there is another Stableford the week after on 7th Nov, for which I have booked three slots but am unable to play as am going to watch England beat Australia at Twickenham. Any takers? If not will delete the berth at the weekend. Interestingly, the 7/11 competition will be non-Qualifying due to "works on the course"...

I shall sign up Nigel and Colin and me for the Nov 7th Stableford ?

And why are we on Sept 24th ?
