Weekend golf - 31st October/1st November

For those interested, you can read more about Halloween here. Just be careful if you are home this weekend that you have adequate Trick or Treat goodies at home....

As far as the golf is concerned, the winter approaches fast: don't forget that Preferred Lies are in operation from Sunday.

Sunday lunchtime at the club sees the monthly Prize Giving: anyone interested in playing in the morning?

  5. Roland - there is a link to Burhill competitions on the very first page of this Blog: look at Blog Archive on RHS of the screen and click on January.

Cannot cope with planning three weeks hence, I am afraid, but looking forward to playing Sunday morning with Nigel and any others who want to join. Why not join us and play with Dom in the afternon?

  6. Roly - can't play during the week myself - too busy paying taxes on my bankers' bonus so that you can go to Sri Lanka ;-) but if you're lonely you could persuade Stuart to play on one of his days off this week.

  7. Away visiting relies in Cornwall this weekend, so no golf for me.

After last weekend, I believe I am no longer the lowest handicap in our little group. Martin's 42 win in last weekend's stableford will have taken him down to a rounded 12 meaning he now gives me a shot on 5 (Old) and 13 (New). Yippee!

  8. Nigel - 0830 ok for you on Sunday?

  9. Unfortunately, I cannot do Sunday as my mother is here and we are going to see Benedict at uni.
Would be happy to play on Saturday, though, if there should be any takers.

  10. The weather forecast for Sunday looks atrocious; slightly better (although not great) tomorrow. Any last minute changes of golfing plans? Perhaps we could fit in a few holes this afternoon (e.g. 4.30 p.m.) before the bad weather front kicks in?!
