May Bank Holiday

Given a) that the weather this past weekend was fantastic and b) that next weekend, we have a Bank Holiday to look forward to, there must be a better than evens chance that we shall have rain... lots of it... starting on Saturday!

In the meantime, we wish Colin and Sue a Happy Wedding Anniversary and the very best of luck in braving the BA picket lines at London Heathrow this afternoon. Enjoy Prague, guys and come back safely!

Don't forget that this week is the Europro event at Burhill - you can read all about the field etc. here and according to the website, Ronan Rafferty will be making a guest appearance. If you want to see the club on the telly, set your Sky+ for June 9th (full schedule here).

Now, as far as OUR golf is concerned:

SAT a.m. - Martin, Colin and Rolf playing and happy to accommodate a 4th
SUN p.m. - Roland available and looking for a partner
MON a.m. - Jubilee Goblets Competition (Mixed Foursomes) - Martin and Rolf playing.. but not together!

Make your arrangements here....

  1. P.S. If you're free today and have the time, well worth a trip to Walton Heath to walk around the course and watch players trying to qualify for the US Open over 36 holes. Kathryn and I went last year and it's great fun. It's free, very relaxed and you get plenty of chances to get up-front and personal with the players!

Monty has pulled out but the Walton Heath field includes former Ryder Cup team-mates Darren Clarke, David Howell, Thomas Levet, Thomas Bjorn, Niclas Fasth and Jarmo Sandelin, plus Italian teenager Matteo Manassero.
