January Golf

One week down for those of us on the wagon...but plenty of time to go still.  One of the ways of keeping your mind off the evil drink must be to get out and knock a white ball around - and then to toast your success with a fine glass of Gunners!

Next weekend sees the first Burhill competition of the year with a Stableford planned for Sunday: Martin, Colin and Roland booked in for a 10:52 slot but lots of spaces available on the day itself.

  1. Anyone around next weekend?

I know Roland is slope-bound and appreciate that we may all be under a layer of snow anyway, but let's hope not.....

  2. So - anyone up for golf this weekend? Sunday is the better day for me and at 9 deg there is more chance all the snow will be gone. However, its set to rain all day right up until it gets dark!!

Sat works OK too, but we might still have problems with snow.

    Who's up for it?

  3. Weather on Sunday looks dire! Am scheduled to play Competition on Sat but very dubious as to whether courses will be playable by then. If not, then happy to dress up warm and risk Sunday.

  4. The whole weather chart could change between then and now, but even so, I'd rather be out playing golf in the rain than sanding down a door ready for painting (which is the expected alternative). So what time shall we say - 9.00am?

  7. It seems we have a four ball. 9.00am start. ...assuming there's no chance of being drowned!

  8. looking at the weather forecast, a slightly later start might be more sensible...would 1200 work?
